  • This competition is open to any bona fide MSP, even if you are not a current partner with us
  • If you win a prize and are not yet a BackupAssist Partner, we will create you an account and credit it with your prize
  • You and your colleagues can submit as many attempts as you like; as well as re-submit or re-do any attempts, should you want to maintain your position on the Leaderboard
  • Multiple people from the same MSP may submit results, but these results will count towards the same MSP. The maximum prize that any MSP can win is $2,700
FOR EXAMPLE:
Submit 1 backup and 4 different type of recoveries
4 Bronzes X $100 = $400 in prizes

PLUS achieve a Top 2 position in all 4 types of recoveries
4 Silvers X $300 = $1,200 in prizes

PLUS Fastest total time
1 backup + 4 different types of recoveries at fastest total time = 1 Gold X $1,000 = $1,000 prize

PLUS Extreme Eagle for most creative or Extreme recovery
$100 prize
TOTAL PRIZES YOU WIN = $400 + $1,200 + $1,000 + $100 = $2,700
  • Minimum data size of 10GB or more. The timer should clock in your hands on time only and not the wait time for the data transfers upload / download as this is subject to locations and ISP speeds. In the scenarios provided Linus backed up and transferred 50GB of data.
  • Different destinations of backup and recovery using various hardware are allowed. You DO NOT NEED to use the same hardware and set up as Linus’. Please list your hardware; backup destination and recovery target destination
  • All winners must participate in a 15 minute online interview in order to receive their prize. Please note that you will be contacted by our team member, to coordinate a time for 15-minute Zoom call. This will be a short interview to gather feedback on your experience using BackupAssist ER for this ER Challenge
  • If you win multiple prizes, only one interview call is required
  • Interview footage and information you submit to us may be used or published in whole or modified form, at the organizer’s discretion
  • By participating in this competition, you agree to be bound by these official rules and to the judges’ decisions, which are final and binding on all matters relating to the competition
  • The competition submission period begins at 12:00 p.m. E.D.T. on May 11, 2020, and ends at 11:59 p.m. E.D.T. on June 30, 2020 or until such time that there are 25 Bronze award winners
  • The judges decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into
